The Hispanic Caucus Executive Board, along with Tom Duran, Manuel Abarca Jr, Manny R Abarca IV, Jesse Maddox and Anthony Abarca had a great breakfast at San Antonio Carniceria Restaurant thanks to the Armourdale Renewal Association. The team endured the rain as we removed long overdue weeds. In addition, we installed landscape fabric, added decorative rock and mulch. Weather permitting, the final phase will be completed by mid-June 2018. Thank you for all your hard work! We are making a difference! Adelante!!!! We are so happy with the wonderful turn out of amazing community volunteers last Saturday. The park looks so much better from your efforts. Afterwards we enjoyed a taco lunch with great friends. Thank you to everyone who helped organize this successful and rewarding event. A special thanks to those members of outside organizations who took time from their busy schedules to make a lasting and positive impact on our community! Members include: Joel Graves and Jasmine Johnson of M.O.V.E. & L.O.V.E as well as Tina Medina and Miss Mary of A.R.A. We are so excited for the amazing turnout to our first fundraiser dance. Congratulations to Michael LeDesma who was the recipient of the Mario Rojas Unity Scholarship and to Leeza Chaparro who was the recipient of the Vincent Reyes Steward - both of which were presented at the event. We appreciate the generosity and can't thank everyone enough for all their support, especially those that helped sell tickets, donated raffle items and food. All the hard work that we put into planning this event really paid off. It looks as if this will be the first of many annual events to come.
